Here we had a roof with discontinuous shingles. The roof was originally denied, but we kept on fighting it with the insurance company. Had to send test twice to the lab, and after months of back and forth, we finally got it approved.

After a long fight with the insurance company, we finally got this project approve , however, there were a few components missing, and had to utilize a building code program to get them to add those component to be able to comply with the codes.

Our greatest challenge on this project was to get the insurance to approve it. Beside our typical inspection and adjuster’s inspection, we had to with a forensic engineer twice. After calls and follow ups with the insurance we finally got it approved.

Besides using HDZ, the latest technology in architectural shingles from GAF, we included all the components recommended by the manufacturer, including ice-and-water on all valleys and low pitch roof as an extra layer of protection.
